Marriage Retreats and intensive couples therapy in naples, florida
Months of couples therapy across two days
Marriage intensive sessions are focused, multi-hour couples therapy experiences designed to help you finally cut through stuck patterns and create new, refreshing conversations in an accelerated timeframe.
From having the same arguments on repeat to understanding your dynamic and knowing how to shift it. Because if you’re going to invest in your relationship, you might as well dive all the way in.
Stop Having The Same Conflict Endlessly and Get to the Heart of the Matter – with Intensive Marriage Counseling
If you’ve been circling the same conflict and getting nowhere, you don’t need to try harder. You need to try something different.
You feel stuck, and you can’t quite figure out why nothing you try seems to move the needle. Maybe there was one moment that changed things between you, one you’ve never fully resolved. Now every conflict traces back to it, even the ones that start out about something else entirely. One of you is desperate to move on and look ahead. The other still feels like the hurt was never fully heard, their pain making it impossible to stay present.
Weekly therapy is the norm mostly because it’s what insurance pays for, not necessarily because it’s the most effective way to heal.
But twelve weekly sessions means opening and closing the same pain and frustration twelve separate times. All before you’ve ever made it all the way through. A private marriage intensive gives you one weekend to open it once and work through your pain in a new way.

Marriage Intensive Weekend —Reconnect
Without Months of Weekly Therapy
The hard truth is, there’s no getting around the pain life brings to all of us. But when you have your partner on your side, the world becomes a little easier to manage. The pain doesn’t have to become something that drives you apart. You face it together instead of alone, and everything about it gets easier to carry.
But the patterns keeping you apart rarely shift on their own. The harder you try in the same way, the more stuck you get (the more you push, the more they pull back). Real change starts when you interrupt the pattern instead of waiting it out.
By the way, you don’t have to be married to attend a couples retreat. You just have to be in a relationship you care about working on.
In a marriage intensive weekend, we consolidate months of couples counseling into a focused, consolidated, premium experience.
Couples Counseling Intensives
2-Day Marriage Therapy Intensives
They’re For Couples Who…
✓ Have demanding careers that leave little room for a weekly appointment.
✓ Want something deeper than just getting along or skills-based advice, and are willing to look inward and learn to say what they actually feel.
✓ Care about each other but keep missing each other. The love is there, it’s just not landing.
✓ Tried therapy before and left feeling like it never got past the surface.
✓ Already are in weekly therapy but feel stuck, and want an intensive to break through the plateau before going back to regular sessions.
✓ Are carrying something specific, like an affair or a betrayal, and want to rebuild trust but don’t know how to start.
✓ Ready to step away from daily distractions for two days and put the relationship first.
Why An Intensive Is Powerful
✓ No distractions. Two full days with nothing competing for your attention but each other.
✓ More time in one sitting than a single session allows, so you’re not cut off right when we get to the root of the issue.
✓ Built for busy schedules. One weekend instead of finding room in between all your other Zoom calls for a session every week for months.
✓ Compresses work that typically takes up to four months into two focused days.
✓ Often costs less in the long run than months of weekly sessions add up to.
✓ Builds a real foundation, grounded in EFT and secure attachment, that you keep building on together long after the weekend ends.
✓ You leave with clear next steps and my direct recommendations for how to move forward.
They’re Not For…
⊘ Domestic violence
⊘ An affair that’s still ongoing
⊘ Untreated mental health conditions
⊘ Active addiction
This kind of intensive also asks something of you: enough emotional regulation to stay in the room for two full days.
It’s not for everyone, and it’s not a magic fix or a miracle pill. The process takes real work, real time, and a willingness to slow down instead of rushing past what comes up.
We’ll meet for a consultation before booking to understand your current situation and determine what type of support will best serve your relationship.
Reach out directly, and I’ll help you find the right next step.
Every couples therapy intensive I run is built on Emotionally Focused Therapy, the model I’m certified in and have built my entire practice around. EFT is backed by decades of research, one of the most studied models in couples therapy, but for me its real power isn’t in the data. It’s in watching two people find their way back to each other in a way that actually makes them feel like a team again.
Which means: this isn’t guesswork. A proven framework, applied to you, in an intensive, structured way.

As your therapist, I’m not a passive presence in the room. I don’t just listen while you talk. I actively step in to help you catch and interrupt the patterns that keep you stuck, while they’re happening, not after the fact, so we can create something new.
Intensive Marriage Counseling
What to Expect at a Private Marriage Intensive
A marriage intensive isn’t a workshop, and it isn’t a retreat with a room full of other couples. It’s private time, set aside just for the two of you. Here’s exactly what the process looks like, from your first call to the weeks after your intensive weekend.
30-Minute Zoom Consult
We’ll meet over Zoom for 30 minutes to talk through what’s going on and decide together if a marriage intensive is the right fit.
If we move forward, we’ll pick your dates and I’ll send over intake paperwork and a deposit secures your spot. If it’s not the right fit, I’ll follow up with resources and point you toward the next best step.
Pre-Intensive Prep
Before your intensive weekend, I meet with each of you individually. Those sessions are about 45 minutes over Zoom. These sessions give me a chance complete individual assessments ahead of time so we can use our in-person time for your relationship work.
You’ll also complete paperwork through a secure online portal. This gives me time to review and conceptualize before we meet.
2-Day Marriage Intensive
Your marriage intensive retreat runs two full days, with about 5 hours of EFT therapy each day.
Often my weekly clients are squeezing a couples session into the hour between work and bedtime with the kids, without much time to actually reflect and integrate. In the intensive, we have time to slow down, focus, and go deeper.
Follow-Up Support
An intensive gives you the container for real breakthroughs, but follow-up support is what helps you hold onto that progress and keep building on it. Our nervous systems tend to take a bit more time to settle into change.
I’ll help you figure out the right next step, whether you feel like your goals have been met or you’d like to keep going.
Flexible Scheduling
Marriage retreats are two days. You can choose whether you would like to schedule those days consecutively.
Alternatively, we can schedule those days separately with a week or two in between.
You also have the option to add an extra day afterward or follow up with weekly Zoom sessions to continue the work.
Sample Schedule
🕙 10:00am to 12:30 or 1:00pm. We start the day setting intention, tracking your present patterns, and practicing new ways of sharing.
🕐 Lunch. A full hour to step away.
🕓 Early afternoon until ~4:30pm. We pick back up and go deeper under the surface of the progress made in the morning.
I encourage all new couples to start the process with an in-person couples therapy intensive marriage counseling retreat.
What Sets This Couples Retreat Apart
Emotionally Focused Therapy Certified Therapist
In my eyes, the EFT method itself is the key differentiator of this experience. Because what’s just as important as the time set aside is how that time is used. More hours together don’t automatically create change. EFT gives us a roadmap for using that time well.
Communication skills can help with the symptoms, but they don’t always address the cause. EFT goes a level deeper. We look underneath the behavior to understand the deeper patterns driving the conflict.
In other words, we’re not just treating what’s happening on the surface. We’re figuring out what’s underneath it so that changes are more likely to stick.
Pushes past stalls in weekly therapy
Maybe you’ve been in weekly couples therapy for months. Maybe you’ve read the books, tried the tools, and still feel stuck.
Weekly therapy has natural limits. Time spent catching up and getting oriented leaves less time to stay with the deeper work. Just as you begin to reach something important, the session ends. You have to close things back up before you’ve had enough time to work through them. The start and stop can make progress feel slow when you’re close to a breaking point.
A private EFT intensive gives us concentrated time to stay with the work. One approach isn’t better than the other. An intensive simply offers a different way of working. If you already have a weekly therapist, I can consult with them as part of the intensive so the work supports what you’re already doing.
Fully private weekend marriage retreat, not a group program
An EFT retreat is fully private, just the two of you and me. Every hour is built around your relationship specifically, rather than working in a group format.
You don’t have to hold back, and you get customized feedback. Every minute goes toward your relationship, not anyone else’s.
Privacy matters here. This format is also a good option if you are working through crisis-mode, like affair recovery and betrayal trauma. Situations where discretion and clinical expertise matter more than a shared curriculum. You can read more about healing after emotional infidelity and helping a spouse heal after an affair.
After intensive marriage counseling, you’ll walk away with a clear sense of where you get stuck, motivated to work toward a more connected relationship.

I’ve trained deliberately in the model since 2022 and hold formal certification, a process that includes extensive video review of my clinical work. I could never overstate how much this model has changed my life by helping me understand myself.
In my work with you, my goal is to come alongside you as a process consultant of your relationship.
I’ll help you slow heated moments down, stay focused, and communicate differently.
You’ll experience a structured, supportive space that helps both of you feel safe enough to be stay present, get vulnerable, and deeply connect.

Make Your Couples Retreat a Florida Getaway
Many couples turn their marriage intensive into a few extra days together. Naples and the surrounding Gulf Coast make it easy to unwind between sessions, and a short stretch of vacation on either side of your intensive can help the work settle in.
Here are a few favorite spots for extending your couples retreat Florida getaway.
Naples and Gulf Coast Beaches
Just minutes from where your intensive takes place, Naples beaches are an easy, low-key place to decompress between sessions. A slow walk along the Naples Pier or a sunset dinner nearby is often all it takes.
Sanibel and Captiva Islands
About an hour from Naples, Sanibel and Captiva offer quieter beaches and a slower pace, a good fit for a couple of extra days before or after your intensive.
St. Pete Beach
Roughly two and a half hours up the coast, St. Pete Beach is a good option for couples who want to combine their intensive with a longer Gulf Coast getaway.
The Florida Keys and Key Largo
About two and three-quarter hours from Naples, Key Largo is a bit further out, but a favorite for couples extending their trip into a longer getaway after their intensive.
